SUMMARY: Provides customer support and maintains customer relationships.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answers telephone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner; takes accurate messages with a high degree of professionalism and courtesy
  • Provides introductory information to new customers or clients; responses to initial customer inquiries
  • Process customer orders, returns and requests accurately and efficiently; provide order confirmations and updated order statuses in a timely manner
  • Escalating inquires or concerns; determining quickest, most effective way to answer client’s questions
  • Ensures that customers are satisfied with products or services; regularly following up with clients
  • Proactively establishes, and maintains highly organized filing system; files correspondence and other records.
  • Meets and greets clients/visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Prepares work agreements and maintains appropriate records and files.
  • Prepares weekly production reports to support HR tasks; monitors and records employee files; assists with other HR related tasks.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, and mailing.
  • Attends meetings and other functions as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent, three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•  Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Outlook, Adobe, Quickbooks and familiar with Manufacturing Software

·        Must be able to work independently; able to manage priorities and workflow

·        Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

·        Acute attention to detail

·        Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.

•  Keystroke a minimum of 50 wpm.

Industrial Sewing Machine Operators

Description

We are looking for a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery. You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great sewing machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and output.

Responsibilities

  • Set up sewing machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
  • Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
  • Test operation of machines periodically
  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift
  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
  • Maintain activity logs

Skills

  • Proven experience as a sewing machine operator

SUMMARY: Set up, operate, or tend machines that cut or slice textile materials.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review work orders, blueprints, specifications, or job samples to determine components, settings, and adjustments for cutting and slicing machines.
  • Examine, measure, and weigh materials or products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring devices, such as rulers, micrometers, or scales.
  • Press buttons, pull levers, or depress pedals to start and operate cutting and slicing machines.
  • Start machines to verify setups, and make any necessary adjustments.
  • Feed stock into cutting machines, onto conveyors, or under cutting blades, by threading, guiding, pushing, or turning handwheels.
  • Monitor operation of cutting or slicing machines to detect malfunctions, inspect quality or to determine whether supplies need replenishment.
  • Stack and sort cut material for packaging, further processing, or shipping, according to types and sizes of material.
  • Adjust machine controls to alter position, alignment, speed, or pressure.
  • Remove completed materials or products from cutting or slicing machines, and stack or store them for additional processing.
  • Maintain production records, such as quantities, types, and dimensions of materials produced.
  • Remove defective or substandard materials from machines, and readjust machine components so that products meet standards.
  • Position stock along cutting lines, or against stops on beds of scoring or cutting machines.
  • Move stock or scrap to and from machines manually, or by using carts, handtrucks, or lift trucks.
  • Select and install machine components, such as cutting blades, rollers, and templates, according to specifications, using hand tools.
  • Clean and lubricate cutting machines, conveyors, blades, saws, or knives, using steam hoses, scrapers, brushes, or oil cans.
  • Operate cranes, or signal crane operators to position or remove material from cutting tables.
